AlmaVeda was born from the imagination of Jean Alexandre and his meeting with the Hang this fabulous instrument invented in the 21st century by Panart . After working this instrument alone, then with dancers, actors , poets, children, movies, believers , sick and of course musicians, Jean Alexander decided to record an album with the help of Hicham Benjelloun .
The first album released in 2011 is intended to intimate , personal, as a sketch, offering a poetic journey around the county Hang.
Since its inception, AlmaVeda conducted many concerts with different musicians . The group consists of four artists of various backgrounds. His music is more amenable to listening in places of art and history such as churches , castles, ruins , abbeys and theaters, or in areas with high natural resonance , suitable for a pure and natural listening without recourse to any amplification technology.
The visual is as important as listening, that's why we love we dress costumes, wearing masks , occupy the space , plant a decoration or even create an atmosphere so that guests shared with time can be simply ... beautiful.
AlmaVeda wants to share this new positive breath and magical energy that Hang vehicle. Our Instrumentarium is very rich. It consists of many different types of hangs , and gubals handpans whose sounds blend perfectly with the sensuality of the harp , the magic of the human voice, the delicate flutes, all under the pulse and rhythm of percussion instruments from diverse backgrounds , the fineness of the Dulcimer and other sound wonders. These are our tools to immerse everyone's mind in a different musical universe inviting inner peace.
The HANG , what ?
A couple of metalworkers based in Switzerland under the name PANArt , established since 2010 several thousand " HangHang " , each with a unique signature of its notes, its appearance, its weight, its harmonics and energy s' emerges. Each HangHang is shaped entirely by hand and is made of an alloy of various metals. It responds differently depending on the type and touch typing but also according to the personality and intentions of the player . We can say that each player shapes his own instrument.
It is an innovative instrument , intuitive and personal. There are no academic method to learn to play . Each player appropriates , tames are singing and explores itself sound treasures it contains.
Hang today fascinates musicians as the general public worldwide . It conveys both nostalgia and hope. It has an emotional and visual impact that is unanimously . The art of playing it with your hands may seem to some mesmerizing.
